Proven Ventures Featured in Silicon Prairie News
We’re excited to share that Proven Ventures was featured today in Silicon Prairie News, highlighting our approach to growth capital and our plans to invest the remaining $1 million in Fund One in Nebraska companies ready for their next stage of growth.
The story takes a closer look at what makes Proven Ventures different. Rather than relying solely on traditional debt or equity, our model combines the two to give founders more flexibility as they grow. A key part of that approach is creating a path for founders to buy back ownership over time as their businesses scale.
Who We’re Looking For
Proven Ventures is currently looking to make investments generally ranging from $250,000 to $500,000 in revenue-generating Nebraska companies with scalable business models. We’re especially interested in businesses that have moved beyond the idea stage, demonstrated customer demand, and are building toward sustainable, profitable growth.
That capital can help founders tackle the very real challenges that come with growth, whether that means hiring, purchasing inventory, expanding capacity, or moving more quickly on an opportunity.
As Co-founder and General Partner Erica Wassinger shared with Silicon Prairie News, the goal is to back companies with strong customers, early sales and a clear understanding of where additional capital can take the business.
Investing in Nebraska Founders
Since launching in 2021, Proven Ventures has made approximately 30 investments across 26 companies through its $10 million fund. Beyond capital, portfolio companies also gain access to the experience, relationships, and professional networks of the Proven Ventures and Burlington Capital teams.
We’re proud to see Nebraska’s founders, businesses, and investment community getting continued attention, and we’re looking forward to putting the remaining Fund One capital to work.
Are you building a Nebraska company with traction and ready for what’s next? We’d love to hear from you.
